Согласно свежим данным, компанией с самым большим количеством патентов, зарегистрированных в 2018 на территории США, является IBM. Впрочем, эта компания возглавляет список уже 26 лет подряд, в прошлом году она зарегистрировала 9100 патентов.
Второе место заняла южнокорейская компания Samsung Electronics, которая за год подала в американское патентное бюро 5850 патентных заявок.
Третье место занимает компания Canon с 3056 патентами, на четвертом идет Intel, у которой 2735 патентов. Замыкает пятерку лидеров еще одна южнокорейская компания LG Electronics, которая зарегистрировала 27474 патента.
Корейские Samsung Display и Hyundai Motor заняли 14 и 19 места соответственно.

A new lawsuit filed by the city of Los Angeles alleges the Weather Channel misled millions of users into allowing it to access their personal location data, then profiting off it in the process by selling it to third parties.
City Attorney Michael Feuer said Friday that users of the popular app are misled to think their location data will only be used for personalized forecasts and alerts.
The lawsuit follows a bombshell report last month that said the Weather Channel, GasBuddy and Weather Bug collect extensive data from users without their consent.
